Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday is a day filled with hope and anticipation for what's to come. Yet, when we look at Mark's account of Palm Sunday, we notice Jesus did not fulfill all the expectations carried by the Jewish people. Join us this week as we explore how to trust God and keep moving forward in the midst of unmet expectations.

As Palm Sunday approached, Jesus and the disciples seemed to be heading into the “Good Life!” Jesus was at the height of his popularity, and he would enter into Jerusalem amidst a crowd shouting his praises. Yet by the end of the week, He was dying a humiliating, horrible death on a cross. This is not what anyone expected!

How many of us, in the middle of our circumstances, have looked up to heaven and said, “God, this is not what was supposed to happen? Is God truly at work doing something good even in our disappointments, in our sorrows, and in our unmet expectations? This week we will see how the disciples expectations of Jesus’ last week on earth were all wrong - and how glad we are of it!

How are we to respond when others mock or attack us and the path we're walking? An undivided life

We all have an inner life and an outer life. One life is hidden, the other visible for all to see. The Merciful

Citizens of the Kingdom of God can be identified by their mercy. They radiate mercy, they're under the promise of mercy, and they are transformed by mercy. Hunger and Thirst

Rather than looking at desire as something negative, Jesus affirms desire as something that is good and inherent within us all. Listen this week as we discover how to fulfill our truest desires in a way that leads us into the good life.

Inheriting the earth

An inheritance is a gift freely given. How would life change if we saw all we own, including the land we live on, as a gift given to us by God and us simply as stewards of those gifts? Rather than hoarding and pursuing self interests, Jesus invites us into a life of using our gifts in a responsible, just way that brings blessing to others and the land itself.
