Hospitality

Hospitality - showing love through action - is what drew others into the Christian faith early in its history.  Join us this week as we explore how to be people of hospitality in our lives together, extending grace and aid to all those around us.

Gratitude

Gratitude is an intentional, conscious practice where we stop to acknowledge all the goodness that has come our way.  Join us this week as we look at 5 ways to practice gratitude and in the process discover a life of joy and contentment.  

Abundance

What kind of world we believe we're living in fundamentally shapes how we live our lives. By trusting our world is one of abundance, we become free to trust there is enough love, grace, and resources for everyone. That belief frees us from feeling the need to hoard, grip, and claw our way to what we believe is ours often at the expense of others. Listen this week as we see how this question about our world has been at the heart of human existence from the very beginning.

Sabbath

What if in a given 24 hour period your only task was to pursue that which fills you most with joy?  That is the question at the heart of Sabbath.  An opportunity for us to rest from all our striving so we can simply be and enjoy the gift of life we've been given.

Slow Church Week 6 - Work

Work, when done well, is meant to be a filling, satisfying experience that brings beauty and meaning to the world we live in. Yet, work can often be seen as a slog that drains life from our souls and creates systems that dehumanize others. Join us this week as we discuss how to find the work you have been created to do and offer others the best gift you have to give.

Wholeness

Within all of us there exists an ache. An ache for all that has been broken, whether within us or the world around. At the heart of the Christian faith is the belief that through Jesus, God is making all things whole by restoring all that has been broken. Listen this week as we explore how living with this awareness changes us as well as how we engage the world.

Patience

Contrary to our culture of speed, the way of Jesus is marked by a slow, patient journey. In that journey we come to discover grace and compassion for ourselves and others. Listen as we discover how God works through this slow, patient process.

Stability

What does a life of stability look like?  How can we put down roots within the places we inhabit to create lasting, meaningful change in our communities.  Listen now as we talk about the power that comes through stability.   

Just one Awaken, just one you

Church is not a product.  It is a unique expression of faith that organically comes into being through the surrounding community and people who call that church their home.  That uniqueness is also true about you.  No one person is alike and no one's spiritual path is the same.  Listen as we talk about what makes Awaken unique and how you can step into the unique expression of humanity that you are.  

A foundation upon which to build
